overview
Animal
kingdom is generally the most crowded of the four Disney parks.
The layout and width of the pathways add to the crowded feeling
which can feel quite intimidating at peak times in the day
(late morning through mid-afternoon). The park has four star
attractions. The safari simulation 'Kilimanjaro Safaris',
the stage show 'Festival of the Lion King', the water ride
'Kali River Rapids' and the simulator 'Dinosaur'.
In
addition there are many animals to see on the trails and pathways,
a great playground for the youngsters and some of the best
and consistent theming in any Orlando park.
Many
have dubbed Animal Kingdom a 'half day' park because you can
get around the main attractions in that time. This is a little
unfair, especially if you like animals and are not just interested
in the rides. If you want to be at a park that involves constant
rides then you can probably be ready to leave after half a
day if you arrive early.
There
really is enough in Animal Kingdom to fill a whole day though
if you are interested in seeing more than the headlining attractions
and set a steady pace to allow time to see the animals and
sights around the park.
