The water in the raft as you board should be an indication to you that
this is a wet ride. If you want to remain dry you are probabloy better
off not riding, but a poncho would help you out if you take the risk.
The
scenery on the ride is really effective with forest, ancient ruins and
waterfalls all adding to the adventure. Another great thing about the
ride is that the raft is not on a track therefore you never know who is
going to get soaked next. This adds a lot of excitement each time you
approach cascading water.
As
one of the top attractions in Animal Kingdom you need to come early or
Fastpass. If you arrive here at the start of the day you may be offered
the opportunity to ride over and over if the line does not build up.

We went on this ride first thing at the park and rode it several times without getting off... but with the humidity in Florida, I didn't dry out until much later in the day. The good thing was that I wore slip off shoes and put them, with my bag, in a dry bin in the center of the raft and they stayed dry... there was another family in the raft with us and their two kids seemed to think getting soaked was the best fun going at Disney... we saw (and heard) the monkeys as we went into the ride, which just help set the stage for the "Asia" theme. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
