Located
north of Orlando within a good distance for a day trip. The
complex is cheaper than Orlando theme parks costing approximately
$25 for adults and $15 for children. There is enough here
to fill a day however so for anyone interested in space this
is a very worthy day visit. Your day will include a tour of
Kennedy Space Center, two IMAX films, and a host of exhibits,
displays and attractions. For young children there is a shaded
playground for them to let off steam. Remember to pack some
cash for the trip which involves around $5 in tolls as a round
trip.

Located
in Tampa on the Gulf Coast, Busch Gardens is a major theme
park that is a 90 minutes drive from Orlando. The park boasts
six coasters, three of which are classed as 'Super Coasters'.
Orlando's biggest thrill ride park 'Islands of Adventure'
does not come close to the intensity of these coasters. The
park also offers wildlife comparable to Disney's Animal Kingdom
and great gardens. If you love thrills you will be very impressed,
or is you are not into thrills you will still be very impressed
by the rest of the park. Truly a park to please a diverse
family. Ticket prices are comparable to the Orlando theme
parks but you can buy a flexticket that also includes Universal
and SeaWorld entrance.
clearwater
beach
With
an average of 361 sunny days a year this beach offers a near
guarantee of sunbathing opportunities. It even holds a Guinness
World Record for the most consecutive sunny days! The beach
offers beach volleyball, fishing and parasailing on its beautiful
white sands. There are frequent nightly sunset celebrations.
The beach is north of St. Petersburg on the gulf coast of
Florida.

Located
close to Kennedy Space Center this provides an ideal addition
to a trip to Kennedy. Situated on Canaveral National Seashore
the beach is part of Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
This is a 220 square mile refuge for endangered species including
manatees, and bald eagles, which provides a beautiful natural
landscape. There is also great surfing as the Atlantic provides
great waves.
