overview
Epcot
is a big park. It was originally called 'EPCOT', an acronym
for 'Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. While it
never became the originally planned community, a new acronym
is now frequently cited, 'Every Person Comes Out Tired'. Be
warned, this is accurate humor, you will leave tired.
World
Showcase is a great place to leisurely explore. The eleven
countries featured are set around a lake. Within each country
you will find native food, shopping and buildings. You will
also find internationally themed rides, movies and entertainers
as you tour around the showcase. Some of the rides and movies
have lines but usually these are not too bad.
Future
World features headliner attraction including Test Track and
the new for 2003 attraction, Mission: Space. There are also
interesting exhibits about the land, sea and nature. If education
was always as much fun as Epcot everyone would be straight
A students.
The
park is notably split into the two areas. All over World Showcase
are great places to hang out, eat or relax. In many ways it
feels more relaxed than the other Disney Parks as there is
less running from ride to ride to line up. Future World feels
more like a normal theme park though it is also well spaced
out and has less headliner attractions.
