This is one of the most involved and designed character greeting areas.
Children love it because the grotto gives them a place to play and get
very wet!
Ariel's
grotto is
usually packed after about 10AM. This means a long wait most of the day.
If The Little Mermaid is a big priority to someone in your group, then
try to get to the grotto in the morning.
A
quick word of warning - the usual poncho won't keep your tot dry in the
fountain, since water squirts up as well!
