This twisting track allows riders to drive a gasoline powered mini-car
through tight curves. Unfortunately for the speed lovers, the 7 miles
per hour top speed will probably not be able to thrill you. There is a
guide rail to keep the car on track. The quickest way to the ride is to
take the first opportunity after the pedestrian bridge to get into the
cars.
This
ride should be skipped if there are no younger children in your group.
Adults and teens will find Indy Speedway rather dull. Younger children,
however, still love to imagine driving their race car to victory. Especially
appealing those under the height restriction, it's worth a whirl if a
smaller child in your group wants to try to steer. Drive as slowly as
possible, since a quick trip usually leads to a longer wait at the end
of the ride to get off.
If
your group is looking for something with a twisting track as well as some
speed, skip the Indy Speedway and detour next door to Space Mountain.
*The
height restriction is for a single rider. Those shorter than 52"
may also ride Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, so long as they are accompanied
by an adult.
